Welcome To The New Improved Get That Pro Sound

Hi everyone,

For the past four years GTPS has operated using the same basic design and features. We’ve grown a lot – thanks to your support! – and the old design was starting to show it’s age, so over the last few months I’ve been working towards launching this brand new version of the site.

Despite various unplanned delays and obstacles – including completing the sound design for a feature film and more recently, just as I was about to relaunch, being rushed to hospital to have my appendix removed! – I’m finally very pleased to announce something of a relaunch for GTPS.

The new site addresses a few things that you guys have been asking about for a while:

• A responsive, mobile-friendly design that will be much easier to navigate from iPads and smartphones

 

• A “Recommended Gear” store, which we’ve loaded with our pick of the very best studio equipment and software – from DAWs to headphones – that I would personally recommend every budding producer check out. All the product listings link through to your local Amazon site for payment and shipping, so wherever you are in the world you can rest assured that the prices will be the best and the payment and shipping will be super-straightforward and familiar.

• The site has grown a lot in scope and popularity since we started, but I feel I haven’t always done the best job of keeping up with regular updates – the nature of the freelance lifestyle is bursts of free time between projects. This new site is a step in the right direction towards a more consistent commitment to you guys, and we’ll be updating with fresh content much more regularly. We also have a new “Quote Of The Day” box on the homepage, so be sure to check back anytime you need a little bite-sized musical inspiration… :p

Finally, whether you’ve been visiting GTPS for the last few years or you just found us last week, I’d like to thank you for helping take us this far. There would be little point in this sites existence if it wasn’t basically proving useful to you guys in your work making awesome music, so I’m really pleased it seems to be doing it’s job!
